The idea of carving a landscape for this guest house was to blend the guest house into the context without disturbing the cashew nut trees with their wide branches and lateral roots spreading in the ground. We envisioned creating a garden to embrace the smallest setting of the place with tiny niches allowing good views of the river and experiencing the filtered light falling on the ground. Utilizing the existing canopy and the gently sloping ground, with a variety of textures and plants, the design evolved into a lush green tropical garden.
